You suddenly realise that its been such a long time since you last took some time out for yourself. However, you remember that you have your Life Drawing session scheduled for tonight...

You walk through the doors to a lovely, little venue based in Formby village. It's really nothing fancy, and you're relieved to see that nobody else is dressed up. Your choice of an old, comfy pair of jeans and a cosy jumper was just right. There's no judgement here. Phew.
Shortly after, you're greeted with a friendly smile and a cold glass of fizz, which is delightful! A long table catches your eye, adorned with drawing boards, paper, and an array of vibrant art supplies like pencils, charcoal, chalks, and pastels. You help yourself, then take a seat.

To start the session, there's warm-up drawing exercises involving quick sketches to ease into the drawing process. The model transitions smoothly between poses, ensuring everyone has a good perspective for drawing. As you start to relax, your initial nervousness fades away, allowing you to immerse yourself in a creative flow state.
Time flies by as you fully unwind, and before you know it, it's time for a break. You're shown where to enjoy a hot drink and a cake, and you start socialising with fellow guests and chatting with those around you. There's such a welcoming atmosphere in the room.

As you settle back into your seat for the final part of the session, you have the opportunity to dedicate time to these next drawings, since the model maintains their pose for a longer period. This allows you to concentrate on intricate details and explore new drawing techniques. You're completely in the zone by now!
When the session comes to a close, you're invited to place your drawings on the floor for the rest of the group to see. You then move around and observe what others have created. Engaging in conversations and gathering inspiration from each other's work makes a heart-warming experience.
Ending such a wonderful evening this way is just perfect, and you already can't wait to return next month!
